Return & Refund Policy
This Return & Refund Policy explains the conditions under which customers may cancel an order, return products, request a refund, or seek a remedy for faulty or incorrect goods purchased from our online store. This policy applies to our women’s clothing products, including Coats & Jackets, Cashmere garments, and Blazers, and is intended to operate in accordance with applicable UK consumer protection requirements.
1. Your Right to Cancel an Online Order
If you purchase goods from us online, you generally have the right to change your mind and cancel your purchase without giving a reason.
You must inform us that you wish to cancel within 14 days beginning from the day after you receive the goods.
If an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins from the day after you receive the final item included in that order.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision by contacting:
Company: Calvane
Address: 6 BROOKWATER CLOSE, HALIFAX, HX3 0QR
Email: support@calvane.online
Phone: +44 7823733631
2. Returning Goods After Cancellation
After informing us that you wish to cancel your order, you should return the relevant goods within 14 days.
Returned products should be securely packaged to reduce the risk of damage during transportation.
Customers should retain suitable evidence showing that the return has been sent until the return and refund process has been completed.
3. Condition of Returned Products
Customers may inspect and try on clothing in a reasonable manner similar to what would normally be permitted in a physical retail store.
Returned products should, where reasonably possible, be:
-
Unworn other than for reasonable fitting or inspection
-
Unwashed
-
Free from stains, marks, odours, cosmetics, perfume or other contamination
-
Free from alterations
-
Returned with original labels and tags where these remain available
-
Returned with any accessories or components originally supplied with the product
We may consider any reduction in the value of goods caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and suitability.
4. Coats, Jackets and Blazers
Coats, jackets and blazers may be tried on for the purpose of checking appearance, fit and size.
Customers should take reasonable care not to damage buttons, fastenings, linings, decorative details, pockets or other components while inspecting or trying on these products.
Items that have been worn extensively, altered, washed, damaged or used beyond reasonable inspection may be considered to have suffered a reduction in value.
5. Cashmere Products
Cashmere garments require particularly careful handling because cashmere is a delicate natural fibre.
When trying on cashmere products, customers should take reasonable care to avoid staining, stretching, snagging, washing, excessive friction or contamination by perfume, cosmetics or other substances.
Normal inspection and fitting will not prevent a customer from exercising statutory cancellation rights. However, unreasonable handling that causes a reduction in the value of the garment may affect the amount refundable where permitted by law.
6. Refund Amount
When a valid cancellation is made in accordance with applicable cancellation rights, we will refund payments due for the returned goods.
Where applicable, we will also refund the cost of the standard delivery option originally offered for the order.
If you selected a delivery method that was more expensive than our standard delivery option, any refund of the original delivery charge may be limited to the cost of the standard delivery option.
7. Refund Processing Time
Refunds will be processed without undue delay.
Where goods are being returned following cancellation, we may process the refund after receiving the returned goods or after receiving suitable evidence that the goods have been returned, as permitted under applicable UK consumer law.
Where applicable, the refund will be made no later than 14 days after the relevant return requirements have been satisfied.
8. Refund Method
Refunds will normally be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless another method has been expressly agreed.
The time required for a refund to appear in your account after it has been processed may depend on your payment provider or financial institution.
9. Return Shipping Costs
Where a customer returns an item because they have changed their mind, the responsibility for return shipping costs will be determined in accordance with the return information provided to the customer and applicable UK consumer law.
Where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially different from what was ordered, please contact us before returning it so that we can provide appropriate return instructions.
Nothing in this policy is intended to require a customer to bear costs that the business is legally required to bear.
10. Faulty or Defective Goods
All products supplied must meet applicable statutory requirements.
If you receive an item that is faulty, defective, not as described or otherwise does not meet applicable legal standards, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order information and a clear description of the problem so that we can review the matter.
We may request photographs or other reasonable information where this helps us assess the reported issue, but this does not remove or restrict your statutory rights.
11. Short-Term Right to Reject Faulty Goods
Under applicable UK consumer law, customers may have a short-term right to reject goods that are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described.
This right generally applies for 30 days from the relevant date provided by law.
Where the statutory short-term right to reject applies, the customer may be entitled to a refund.
12. Repairs and Replacements
Where the short-term right to reject has expired, customers may still have statutory rights to request a repair or replacement for qualifying faulty goods.
The remedy available will depend on the circumstances, the nature of the fault and the requirements of applicable UK consumer law.
If a repair or replacement is impossible, unsuccessful, unavailable within a reasonable period or causes significant inconvenience, additional remedies may be available.
13. Incorrect Products
If we send you an item that is different from the product you ordered, please contact us using the contact details provided in this policy.
Please provide your order information and details of the item received.
Once the issue has been reviewed, we will provide appropriate instructions for resolving the incorrect delivery.
14. Products Damaged on Arrival
Please inspect your order after delivery.
If a product appears to have been damaged before or during delivery, contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the damage.
Where appropriate, photographs of the product and packaging may help us investigate transportation damage and arrange the appropriate remedy.
15. Size, Fit and Colour
For online purchases, customers may generally exercise their statutory cancellation rights even when the reason for returning an eligible product is that the size, fit, style or colour is unsuitable.
Colour appearance can vary slightly depending on lighting conditions, screen settings and display technology.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is materially different from its description.
16. Sale and Promotional Products
Products purchased during a sale or promotional period are not excluded from statutory consumer rights simply because they were sold at a reduced price.
Eligible online purchases may still be subject to applicable cancellation rights.
Faulty sale products are also covered by applicable statutory consumer protections.
17. Items That Have Been Altered or Damaged After Delivery
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper washing, unsuitable cleaning methods, accidental damage, unauthorised alterations, abnormal wear or failure to follow reasonable care instructions after delivery.
This does not affect claims relating to defects or problems that were already present when the goods were supplied.
18. Exchanges
If you would like a different size, colour or product, please contact us to determine the available options.
Availability of replacement products may depend on current stock.
Where an exchange cannot be provided, you may return the eligible product and place a new order, subject to your applicable cancellation and statutory rights.
19. Proof of Purchase
We may request reasonable proof that the product was purchased from us before processing a return, refund, repair, replacement or other remedy.
Acceptable evidence may include order information, purchase confirmation or other reasonable evidence demonstrating the transaction.
20. Statutory Rights and Contact Information
Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy excludes, limits or replaces any statutory rights available to consumers under applicable UK law.
If any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the applicable statutory right will take priority.
